F150 pulls out stuck Chevy at New Hogan Lake. Chevy reversed into lake to load jet ski. Personally I believe he was trying to get attention by slamming into the lake, then was unable to pull back out of the water. Dodge was a little worried about breaking something pulling and then I offered to pull. I was watching as they were using ratchet straps to pull him out, one after the other they broke. I had plenty of nylon recovery straps, chains, shackles, etc which they ended up obviously needing so I gave them those. They were nice guys, and we’ve all been there before so I try to never decline help. Hope you all do the same. The F150 is a 1/2 ton, the other two trucks are 3/4+ ton.
I would have left it there and walked to town and bought a ford

1) Dodge was obviously 4X4, anything 2WD would get suck on that beach.
2) Any one of them 3 trucks would of gotten stuck. The driver of the Chevy backed up to far, hit lose sand, and when he tried to go forward, tires spin and sunk.
3) Why did the Ford pull the truck out, not the Dodge? The Dodge looked stock, the Ford had bigger tires. Did it have other upgrades, I don’t know. But bigger tires gave more traction on sand.

it all depends on the drivers and sometimes the tire ive pulled out a ford diesel that got stuck in a ditch full of snow. i used my chevy 2500 6.0 liter which is not a diesel by the way with out breaking a sweat
It really don’t matter what truck got stuck or what truck was able to pull what truck out. All that matters is the no truck was damaged in the process.

This video has nothing to do with power. It’s about traction. The ford had biggers tires and gave the rope some slack with the driver of the stuck truck pressing the pedal in order to give a more solid tug.
The red truck on the other hand looks stock(no mods) and the stuck driver didn’t help out by pressing the gas pedal.
Both trucks that tried to pull had 4 wheels spinning which indicates adequate power for the job.
