@nerodichina11 gasolio fino a -40?
It took a few tries, but it finally started!
I went to school in Fredericton, New Brunswick (Canada). Try starting a cavalier in -45C weather! 1/3 the cars in the parking lot didn’t start that day. Mine came through!
i never seen a jeep cherokee with a diesel engine in it, wow nice!
@SpiritsoftheWolf in europe is popularbecause oil price is big
i want to put a diesel in my jeep
A block heater would help
That was painful to watch.
what countray or state is this done in it sure looks cold
If a dangerous man chased you with a gun and you tried to escape in that but it happened to be cold, you would have been wasted lol. 4.0 all the way. diesels cool too tho.
You know if you held the key longer it -would- have started. It has to build up some heat from compression in those temperatures. Both of the first attempts you could hear it getting faster yet you let off the key…
@wifebeater756 Me too.I want too put mercedes 3L 6 cylinder turbodiesel, bat I don’t know where to find transmission plate. If you know where I can get it please let me know. Thanks!
its a renault motor i think
No, it’s a VM 2500 Turbodiesel engine
@ultimatefighterispro The engine won’t care, it’s the starter you should worry about, and an extra few seconds wouldn’t have mattered. I’ve seen cars cranked hard whose starters last years and years. You end up using it longer overall by stopping when it’s almost started. Most of the heat disappears and you have to build it up again =)
I love the jeep cheeroke XJ! I am thincking of trading my 1991 celica gti for one.
@dmadureira Hi, no, it’a a VM 2500 Td engine
glow plugs need changing,do the whole set, after the 3rd time she should have started at that temp.
nice to see someone else has the sme starter motor problem as i.
