yes sir it is a highly modified cummins isb amd it has no where near reached it limit on hp and tq this engine is tuned to run said truck and it does so without complaint but dont think thats all the trusty dusty 5.9 has to offer there is alot that can still be done dude is just ryin to establish a diesel truck where most folk thinks it dont belong but yet itsa usin more factory parts than any other monster truck known to man

So im gunna take a guess that is a Cummins 5.9L and has a couple of hair dryers mounted to it? The Real question is if it has nitrous, and if its a 12 or a 24 valve. Well other than that this truck makes me want to start watching this sport again… Thanks

Thats funny, downgrading from the traditional 1,400+ HP monstrous blown gas engine to a 300-400 HP diesel, or maybe if its modded highly close to 6 or 700 HP LOL I guess you’d have to be a diesel fanatic!

  14. williamfsark March 7, 2010 at 4:01 pm #

    fuck u they don’t!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. codydudeman March 9, 2010 at 10:10 am #

@TacticalSuperRebel but with about 700 hp, that engine would be making some serious torque, probably close to 1500 ft/lbs…thatd b a fun ride lol

  16. linkthemain March 25, 2010 at 8:27 am #

How much hp you pushin? what about the gas mileage?

  17. oilfield666 March 30, 2010 at 6:53 pm #

@TacticalSuperRebel in case your deaf thats a cummins…..cummins have been known to hit hp levels of up to 2000hp. didnt say that stayed in one piece, but alot of sled pullers running them are pushing 1200-1400hp. unless you know how a diesel engine works…dont post retarded comments. gas engine is all about hp…you maybe have 1400hp, but you wont have that much torque, in a diesel the torque figures are almost double of what the hp will be.

  18. TacticalSuperRebel March 31, 2010 at 1:16 am #

Thats a cummins… what the hell does it matter whether its a cummins or duramax, they are both capable of alot of power (with enough money) and I know diesels have alot of torque, but comparing 1,000 ft lbs or torque to 1,400 HP in gas power isn’t the same… I was just pointing out that the blown gas engine doesn’t need replacement 😉

  19. oilfield666 March 31, 2010 at 3:44 am #

@TacticalSuperRebel uh . if you knew anything about duramax they wont hold up to 1400+ hp for very long, maybe get half way down a drag strip. its the cummins engine itself. its built to last, why do you think people are getting over a MILLION miles out of them

    DIESEL FTW !!!

  21. CowsXonXcrack May 12, 2010 at 3:31 am #

Now all you need is to get some tree huggers strapped to your tires and your all set!

  22. redpoostain May 18, 2010 at 5:56 am #

uh, guys… horsepower is determined using a math formula and two known factors…

    RPM and torque output.

    HP = (torque * rpm) / 5252

Therefore, a gasoline engine that outputs roughly 700 lb/ft of torque at 6500 rpm is going to make roughly 860-870 bhp

However, a diesel engine that outputs roughly 1400 lb/ft of torque at 5000 rpm is going to make roughly 1300 bhp.

It’s a simple question of math. Anything beyond that depends on the size of your wallet, and the size of your toolbox.

lol gassers suck but aren’t most monster trucks with that style frame mid/ rear engined? Basically to keep the balance about 50/50 I believe.

  24. Henzzman June 8, 2010 at 7:27 pm #

@cptcaca Have you ever wondered why all big trucks use diesel? Well, maybe, because they produce a hell lot more torque and are more efficient. 572 is no match against a diesel with same displacement.

Has there been any updates or race vids?
