The test tack is a section of warehouse conveyor rollers set up on a slight incline. These rollers use ball bearings in order to spin freely with almost no effort. • First vehicle attempts to tow a boat across over the test area • Second vehicle attempts to drive across the test…

  4. samsung427 September 23, 2009 at 4:55 am #

I have a 72 ford f100 2wd with a 302 as well. I just rebuilt the 9 inch in the back and its a posi trac. This thing is awsome, Its almost like a locker back there, it never slips :D. I bet its going to be fun in the snow, lol

As for the other rigs in the vid, open diffs SUCK, period.

this is shit, look Dodge go slow but Ford go with the speed

  8. clonis November 15, 2009 at 7:10 pm #

@marcin9962 Wouldnt matter either way, the ford is posi track(power to both rear wheels all the time) and the dodge is limited slip(power gets transfered from the left wheel to the right wheel when the wheels spin)

This really doesn’t say anything about ford being better as ford chevy and dodge all make posi rear ends. My 2wd suburban would have done this easily as well.

The only downside to posi is the rear end will slide out on any sideways slope especially on black ice

one wheel wonders dont cut it

  10. fordtoughbear January 2, 2010 at 12:34 am #

@marcin9962 what differnce does it make, the first ford isnt going much faster at all, and lets just keep in mind that the dodge had limited slip, it shouldnt have epicly failed like that

  11. Jeepnut666 January 9, 2010 at 6:14 am #

thats cool and alllll but maybe they should of gave the trucks the beans a lil i mean he approached it like he’s rock climbing the ford was moving way faster than both trucks were idunnnooooo ???

  12. 79fordblake January 20, 2010 at 1:17 am #

Im a Ford man all the way, but come on really? This has to be a fluke.

  13. nicocummins January 29, 2010 at 9:04 pm #

My 2WD 1994 cummins Ram has the lock right installed, it works ok.But you must be sure that it’s engaged corectly, otherwise the truck will spin wheels as an open diff.A little upsetting.

  14. SteadfastCountryman February 8, 2010 at 8:17 am #

Lockers or not, kinetic energy has alot to do with that old Ford making it through.

  15. 09adge13 February 19, 2010 at 12:24 am #

ima dodge man but that old ford doing that burnout at the end was sweet!

  16. dizawnofwizar February 25, 2010 at 1:50 pm #

open diffs SUCK. anything with a locker will do this test 100% at any speed, any incline..that’s the point. It’s not a ford vs chevy vs dodge debate ya yahoos

  17. dizawnofwizar February 25, 2010 at 1:52 pm #

@SteadfastCountryman Dude, didn’t you notice that on the first two vehicles (in 4wd) as soon as the back wheel gets on the rollers the truck basically stops? That dodge probably cooked half the clutches in his posi’s getting across… the old 2wd locked ford didn’t even spin a tire

  18. CATZR600BRAAAAAP March 8, 2010 at 1:02 am #

Agreed. the ford hit it with a lot more speed.

  19. countrydude03 May 2, 2010 at 12:34 am #

shows ya that the first ford, supercrew is hella alot better, it went farther than the tranny slipper. dont llike dodge, but like the engines. the older ford is good, little faster still good. let me use my Bronco or Silverado next time, have em both in 2wd and 4wd. was gonna say my Grizzly buts its completely 2wd in rear. no 1 wheel slip. but fore the ford’s the older models. you have a choice with positive or negative rear ends

  20. jenniesboy May 19, 2010 at 7:44 am #

now thats honestly bull shit…. that dodge creeped up on the ramp and the ford got a running start. so thats an unfair match.

  21. 2Foleys June 28, 2010 at 7:15 pm #

@jenniesboy what r u talking about? the dodge is a 2500 and it went against an f150 and an f100 so im pretty sure its fair

  22. jstutz2003 June 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm #

I’ve got that locker in my Wrangler. I give it two thumbs up. Great demonstration. Should have used all the same vehicle though to avoid the idiotic Ford/Chevy/Dodge arguents.

  23. KINGCHAOS516 July 15, 2010 at 12:42 am #

lolz older is better sometimes i guess

  24. macman216 July 23, 2010 at 12:58 am #

well look how fast he was fucking going everyone else was nice and slow he did it in the 100 what ever at like 5 MPH

  25. 79fordblake July 26, 2010 at 7:07 pm #
