First off, I apologize to the cummins for my mistake in saying that this was a V8 haha, I know it’s an inline 6 and just straight up wasn’t paying attention. In thisvideo I give a full in depth tour of a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this truck while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
@kendrickevans301 lucky bro, i could only dream of one of those right now unless i find a great offer. They are so bad ass.
@MalibuLS98 I have a 2009 ford f-250 superduty king ranch 4×4. I work for ford mo co on the f-series production line, so i get employee discount lol, not saying i wouldn’t have one even if i didn’t work 4 em.
@fastestlapsDOTcom well actually GMC/Chevrolet duramax and Ford’s powerstroke diesels are both V8 diesel’s. Dodge’s older models were the only ones with inline 6 engines because they were already high horsepower and torque being a diesel plus it gave good fuel economy. Although dodge does offer a v8 cummins diesel in some older and alot of the new model trucks.
@fastestlapsDOTcom but your right, most off-road diesel engines use the v6 and inline 6 configuration because that really all they need.
thats not a v8
Diesels are very reliable but since we have 1 life to live why spend it listening to an 18-wheeler sound when the new, quiet gas engines develop 300-400HP and get 20+mpg.
Ofcourse if I lived in the mountain in some nowhereland I’d take a diesel instead of gas-engine truck but few of us do.
I love ford, but i drove a Ram2500 and Holy!! I love it!!!
2X4 =[
I can turn that one into a diesel sport truck.
hey wats the milage on that
@fastestlapsDOTcom ya you can tell just by looking its a straight 6
How much?
My aunt’s got one of these…… it’s the 2DR Club Cab, Flame Red Clear Coat with Black Premium Cloth interior and Black interior trim…… has the 5.9L V8 with the Automatic and 4WD in it. Has every option but leather and a sun roof, great stereo too…… and only 32000 miles on it.
Very nice, love the sound of the older diesels.
Gotta love the cummins there my all time favorite truck im hopeing to get a job soon then im getting a 2001 dodge 2500 cummins turbo dieseil with 6′ stacks
could you do that intrigue (if its still there)
It’s actually a 1998.5
Hmmm my aunt’s truck (same year, same trim, but with the 5.9L V8 instead of the Cummins I6) has different speaker grilles in the front doors than this thing, but all the rest of the interior is the same. I wonder why?
Are cars with diesel engines popular in the USA?
looks like its 2wd
@ciastekwuzet1 No, there are only around 5 cars with diesel engines, but in the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks they are very popular.
@JTyler52 does does not offer 8 cylinder turbo diesels in ANY of the new models,u get either the 4.7l v8 gas,5.7l v8 gas,or the 6.7l I6,not tryna be a dick but thats the facts
@JTyler52 Dodge dosent offer a v8 cummins in any truck old or new because it dosent exist do your research bud
@fastestlapsDOTcom dude a 5.9 isnt even a large diesel. Most other common diesels are v8’s like the duramax and powerstroke.
Looks good for chasing tornados.
