First burnout Mike Wood CEO of Nitrous Express and his Chevy Duramax Powered Mustang The power plant built by Curtis Halverson of Diesel Performance Research should be capable of 8 second pass with the estimated 1100 hp available with just a twist of the tune , Mike has averaged 33 mpg on the drive during Hot Rods Drag Week
this a sick mustang. i found on some other site another person who implanted a V10 viper engine to his 95 mustang cobra. sick cars
that must say somethng about fords motors.
all that work and using nitrous too and only running low 10’s. How sad for the Mustang fans… BTW, It’s not too difficult to get Mustangs into the 10’s with stock motors and two stages of nitrous. Seen it done many times before. Mike should be embarrassed and leave the racing to his customers that have the balls to go for it.
Youre looking at the first passes right out of the shop, after driving 1200 miles to the track, all the while getting 35 miles per gallon on pump diesel fuel. This is a new car; its very capable of low 9’s and high 8’s in the next few months. Mike drove the car almost 4000 miles running a best of 9.90 @ 143 mph , with no testing.
And which of those gets 33 MPG?
Mustangs are quite capable, but I have read about this car in Hot Rod Mag, and it’s impressive. Those of you who bash it apparently have no clue as to how much work went into this.
A friend showed me the stang in a mag. It is nuts. I don’t know of any other mustangs out there with a Diesel engine. Craziness. And to top it off it gets as a good of a mpg as any normal coupe.
dude anybody that bashes this is an idiot look at it this way where is your diesel powered mustang?
that’s insane.
It’s not a Ford motor, it’s a durmax.
i know it was a dry attempt at humor, the ford motor wasnt good enough had to put a duramax in it
Oh. I can’t believe I didn’t catch that. I have a very dry sense of humor myself. It’s not that the motor wasn’t good enough, it’s the fact that is you put a Ford badge on anthing, it goes fast, even a duramax.
on the cover of hotrod magazine this month
Are there step by step upgrades to recieve this crazy fuel efficiency?
