Nobody clutches you float shift if your a professional.
So after the first push on the clutch,do you press the fuel pedal,or wait
til you clutch twice to hit the fuel pedal??? Im in school thats why im
asking
@locsta06 you dont need to touch the fuel pedal until after the gear is
engaged ( after 2nd press of clutch)
@mitsub10 Thanks alot,im bout to be on the road shifting kinda nervous,i’ll
get the shifting its the downshifting that seems complicated
@peetee1000 I would believe you over him, on the soul basis that you used
the term “Buckwheat” =D Man that brings back memories to when my dad taught
me stuff. haha Keep on truckin mate!
@peetee1000 hahahahahaha, you just keep trying to convince yourself you
know what a professional is.
@peetee1000 man, aren’t you ever sensitive…. well, keep bragging about
how you know it all, I’m sure your convincing someone that your important
and sound like you know what your talking about.
You know how I know this guys a noob truck driver? He is using the clutch
to shift! Put pressure on the shifter, ever so slightly let off gas and the
shifter slides ever so easily out and let the engine slow down while moving
the shifter to the next gear (assuming accelerating) as soon as the engine
speed is the going the same speed as the next gear it will slide easily
into that gear. Driving truck is easy.
@perry244 No experience in trucking but from what I know there are
automatics, ones with synchromesh gearbox which I assume is more like a car
gearboxes as in single clutch shift and then the roadranger kind which
require double clutching.
@perry244 I would not reccomend a auto to a new driver
@perry244 also avrage mpg for a rid is 10 and under i have never hit the
full ten yet but im sure that will come
I have a road test next week with a cement distribution company i don’t
what kind of truck they have i mean the transmission should i double clutch
i told em i have three years experience i really want that job pls help
most companies prefer u float the gears ( no clutch) even was showed in
driving school how.. I started in 96 and didn’t start floating till 97 when
i started with a company with super 10s for 9 yrs i had now problem
shifting hardly scratched a gear went 50 miles with a clutch not bolted in
right lol I was out of it for 5 yrs and now with the new equiment I feel
like a rookie all over again scrathing gears it f ing sucks…..
Its way easier to float the gears
