even without the intake heaters it would fire up in like 5 seconds of cranking… the fuel lines or something else is still causing problems.

That could be, the engine was pulled out of a dodge truck that was wrecked. This company has a universal setup they use to run all the vehicles that were pulled, all they use is the engine. Everything else it needs to run isn’t on the engine, they have them in a warehouse and hook it up to run it.

@454sskilla, it can be made to work but the lag because of the exhaust housing would be hell

@StillenGtr17 Why hate diesels, when they can give so much more torque than gas engines.

@Henzzman I know, I love diesels. I wish I had one. Also they have better heat efficiency than gas engines.

haha time to whip out the starting fluid

  22. bluejay148 September 2, 2010 at 9:57 am #

using the starting fluid on newer diesel engines can damage the engines injectors

  23. StillenGtr17 September 2, 2010 at 12:19 pm #

@bluejay148 Oh, well we’ll use deep creep next time.

  24. bluejay148 September 2, 2010 at 4:04 pm #

well for what ive read anyway

  25. sideshow45 September 12, 2010 at 4:50 pm #

@bluejay148 probably extensive use of it is bad for the injectors, i dont see how the amount they used would hurt.
