    @fsjfanatic not to call you a liar, but youre a fucking liar. my teacher has a 24v cummins h.o. with a 6spd and an expensive ass clutch rated for 2000 hp. his truck is dyno’d at 688hp and 1409 ftlbs with the boost gage dialed back for longevity. he runs in 4×4 to get the traction and shifts 3rd, 5th and 6th and he turns low 12s. ur 12v would not do that. no fucking way unless you sank some extreme money into it.

    @powersmokef250 You didn’t have to pull the cab?? I need to ARP bad. I’m getting way more power than stock and am pulling trailers now. Is it extremely hard to put them in??

  18. jmanwild April 28, 2010 at 11:02 pm #

    @vivita1968 theres a contraversial point. how incredibly informative of you to share such a detailed knowledge of the powerstroke engines.

  19. vivita1968 April 28, 2010 at 11:06 pm #

    @jmanwild thanks

    If you are telling the truth then you have one unnaturally well flowing head. the numbers youre throwing around are pretentious, and im a mopar guy through and through. i wish the 12v can get there, when i search the forums they seem to platue at the 650hp 1450trq area. I wanna believe you dude but i need proof.

    @jmanwild

    Have you seen the warranty claim issues surrounding the 6.0? It’s a piece of junk. So much so that Ford ended their 30 year relationship with International Harvester because IH wouldn’t help Ford pay the warranty claims on an engine that IH designed and sold to Ford. The later engines with larger displacements are better, but I would be very wary of this engine until I’m absolutely certain it’s as reliable as the old 7.3.

  23. linkthemain May 4, 2010 at 6:53 am #

    I’d rather have the 7.3, for the reliability

  24. BeastLoGo May 12, 2010 at 12:46 am #

    I have a stock 2003 6.0, and haven’t had any major problems. Great Truck!!!
