64 Ford F-350 4×4 with cummins turbo diesel 5 speed Getrag trans with divorce mounted tansfer case dane 24 Dana 60 front and 10.25 Ford rear end 3.55 gears
Hey I just wanted to said thats a project thats been on my mind for a long time . late 40’s to mid 50’s truck with a cummins in it . I love those old truck with a long nose
IT CAN BE DONE!!!! Yeah!! I want to know some info on how much room you have and mods to everything else! If you want I can leave you my email address.
Theres room! I thought it wasnt goin to fit so I cut part of the fire wall out, And ended up putting it back. In fact I just did a new head gasket 4 months ago cus it had bad plowby, The hardest part was gettin the 2 rear head bolts and push rods off lol, Umm mods, I havent really done anything in that area yet, except turn the screw in for more power n smoke .
I probably said this before but, it doesnt get any better than a Ford with a Cummins! I plan on buying a 73-97 Ford F-250 or 350 gasser and doing a Cummins swap. A 94-97.5 12-valve Cummins. Also, buying a Super Duty gasser and doing a Caterpillar C7 swap. Yes a C7 does fit in a Super Duties engine bay :)!
That is nice dude it’s the most badass truck I’ve seen in quite a while. Now you need some vids of that pulling or working or even just cruising. I bet that’s an unstoppable drivetrain.
dang dude thats an awesome truck i have the old body style dodge cummins im hoping to drop into a classic truck when the body starts falling apart. nice job on that.
@1981bigolboy wow this comment was foever ago, ive since bought a dodge with a 12 valve in it and scrappped the 47 chev, project. it was a 2 ton truck and the frame rails were narrowed so they could fit the big tires and keep a fairly narrow-er turning radius.
And yes the 4bt is much much smaller. i just hate the rattle can sound of it.
Hey I have a 1986 F-150 I wanna put a 12v Cummins in it. How hard do you think it would be? And how expensive? It has a the 4 speed granny in it and is a 4×4. I have had nothing but trouble with the 300 L6 gas.
I dont know man F-150 ? I would atleast have a F-250 3/4 ton to put it in 6btcummins 12v thats about 800 to 1000 pounds of motor there. Or you might go with a 4btCummins which is the 4cylinder version of the 6 cylinder cummins. I have see these conversion in hafe ton pickups..
@BigDan855 hey how much did the whole build cost n how fast does it go i was thinking bout buying a 49 ford f5 n puttin a 12 valve n it or maybe puttin the body on a dodge frame i wanna make a hauler out of it but i wana go fast n wondering how much u go stuck in that
It had a four-speed in it and 5:13 gears which made the truck very slow, and it had no 4WD, no nothing.
Had more then a hunch, what happened to the old engine?
sold it on ebay

At least you didn’t destroy it like a lot of morons do.
Haha, Some guy who also have a 1964 F-350 like mine bought it .
Well may be put it to good use. You have a great truck, keep good care of it.
Great build! I’d love to have that on the interstate for some pudwacker in a benz or something to come up and pull some road rage.
sweet truck I wish I had one like that
dude thats awsome! im convincing my father to drop a 6bt (1st gen 12 valve) in his 76 F250. He was thinking of a 4bt.
I wish I could have a truck like that, man, with a 1989 to early 1991 rotary pump engine non-intercooled Cummins 6BT engine. That is so awesome!
